Cheryl P. Rivers, M.Ed.
Piano lessons are provided for registered students from the ages of 3 to 12, teens, and adults. Piano lessons are either conducted in studio of Triecey’s House of Music, or in the home of the student(s).
Students/Families interest in enrolling in piano classes at Triecey’s House of Music must schedule a free consultation.
Attendance, Tardiness & Missed Classes:
Regular attendance and being timely for music classes are vitally important. In the event that you/your child must miss a class, please notify me (call or text) within 24 hours. If you are late for music class, only the time remaining in your designated lesson block will be utilized. Classes that I cancel due to illness, or inclement weather, etc. can be rescheduled for a day and time that is convenient for the instructor.
Please be advised that there are no refunds for missed classes. Please also be advised that failure to provide advanced notice will result in a No Call, No Show $10 charge.
Lessons & Events for the Year:
The teaching year includes lessons that are held one day per week, and the year-end recital. The studio follows school holidays at Labor Day Weekend, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break, and Memorial Day Weekend.
Establishing Good Practice Habits:
Practice is essential to success in music learning. Please know that incentives to motivate, and encourage are provided. Students will be best prepared and experience maximum success when practice routines occur 5 times per week for the suggested duration. Parents agree to ensure this practice routine is established and maintained. It is also expected that your child will have your assistance.
Please remember that I am reserving your/your child's space in music class for a full academic year. For this reason, I am asking you to "hang in there" for at least the first eight non-refundable lessons to get into new activities. If for some reason, following these first eight classes you must withdraw from the program, a written four weeks-notice is required before stopping classes. “Phone call/Text-message” withdrawals are not acceptable forms of notice. Please also be advised that payment is required for those remaining four weeks of lessons. Any money owed for lessons must also be paid.
